About

Picture

Born in North Carolina, Cathy Qori is a versatile and passionate individual with a diverse career history. Nursing may be Cathy's third career, but it has become her true calling.
After completing high school, Cathy pursued a degree in dental hygiene and worked as a clinician, textbook author, researcher, and administrator in the field. But, she felt the need to explore other areas and took up a job in internet marketing, where she was part of some exciting projects for well-known companies like McCormick, Johns Hopkins Healthcare, Citibank, and the University of Maryland Health System.
Cathy has always had an inclination towards healthcare and decided to go back to school to pursue her passion for nursing. She completed her associate degree in nursing and then went on to earn her BSN at Notre Dame of Maryland University. Although Cathy had obtained her nursing license in 2010, she began working as a full-time nurse in 2016. She is currently pursuing an MS in Nursing Informatics at the University of San Diego.

Since then, Cathy has gained experience in various areas of nursing, including long-term care, cardiology, PCU, home health, and NICU. She is currently an instructor of licensed vocational nurses at Concorde Career College. Her varied experience in healthcare has been an asset in providing quality patient care and nursing education.
Driven by her love for technology, Cathy decided to pursue her MS in nursing informatics at the University of San Diego to combine her technology background with her interest in nursing and machine learning. She aspires to develop better clinical applications for nurses and nursing students.
Today, Cathy is a well-rounded individual with a diverse set of skills, knowledge, and experience. Her passion for nursing and technology has made her an excellent asset to the healthcare industry, and she hopes to continue making a positive impact in her future endeavors.
